Campari Christmas Kiss Cocktail

The combo of Bourbon and Campari make this a great drink for the holidays.

This cocktail is inspired by the classic Boulevardier. The addition of bitters and cherries amp up the flavor without overpowering the bourbon and Campari.

If your bar is anything like mine, you probably have a few random mixers and liquors that you don’t use very often. A while back, I bought Campari to make Negroni’s and sort of forgot that I had it.

I asked my husband to bring up all the mixers and liquors we don’t use from our basement bar so I could concoct a cocktail.

I searched for Campari recipes and found several for the Boulevardier. A classic drink that’s basically a Negroni with Bourbon instead of Gin.

  • 1 1/2 oz Bourbon
  • 3/4 oz sweet vermouth
  • 3/4 oz Campari
  • Orange or lemon twist

The Campari Christmas Kiss adds a few things to it, and I adjusted the ratios:

  • 1.5 oz bourbon
  • 1 oz Campari
  • 1 oz Sweet Vermouth
  • .25 oz Roses Lime Juice
  • 1 dash Angostura Bitters
  • 1 lemon twist on top
Shake vigorously for 20 seconds. Strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with cherry and cranberry.

Cheers!
